The Start of Year facilitated lab is available for school and district staff who need assistance or additional training on software provided by LBL ESD.  Each school is responsible for completing the WebSIS Start of Year checklist (Processes menu > Start of Year checklist).  Tasks include Wazzle gradebook setup, WebSIS calendar, profile, and assorted processes, and SILK Scheduling.  LBL ESD staff can assist you with completing these tasks or you are welcome to come use a computer for a quiet place away from your office to work.

SILK Schedule:  2018-2019 Master Schedule building using the SILK Scheduler.  Silk Course Catalog changes, creating one or more teacher schedule options for the new year, entering student course requests.  Schedule building philosophy and assistance.  Also, current year student schedule changes and creating new course sections.  SILK report options.

**Elementary Schools:  Elementary Attendance rosters are created for the Gradebook via the WebSIS Teacher/Advisor assignment.  If your district/school is requiring that teachers have subject tabs (Math, Science, Language Arts, etc.) the first week of school, you need to complete your SILK Master Schedule and student rosters in August – preferably 1-2 weeks prior to the start of school. Lab time is a great way to complete that task!

WebSIS:  This is the core of the LBL Student Information System. If you are a new employee to your district/school we recommend you attend a New Staff Training before coming to the Start of Year facilitated lab.  Lab time is perfect for getting assistance with your start of year checklist or a refresher on various topics. We can provide additional training/support for enrollment, contact, behavior, student flags, assessment, immunization or English proficiency data tracking.

Pinnacle:  The Gradebook is used by teachers, administrators, office staff, parents, students-nearly every user of the LBL SIS Suite.  It is important that the gradebook be configured and managed properly.  Gradebook Managers, Attendance Managers, and school administrators can receive additional training, support, and consultation to help get the most out of the gradebook and the internet viewer (PIV).  Each school’s configuration needs to be completed and verified prior to the start of school.  August is the time to prepare and to make any adjustments to the structure.  Come in to the lab to work with LBL’s gradebook specialists, or schedule a phone consultation.

TIENET – PowerSchool Special Education:  Not available this session.
