We Cover the Cost—You Support Student Success!
Join us in piloting Khan Academy’s AI tutoring tool, Khanmigo, designed to offer personalized, AI-powered tutoring to help students improve their learning experience. As part of our Oregon Math Project / Mathways grant for 2024- 2025, the Mid-Valley STEM-CTE Hub will cover the cost of $13 per student. Priority access will be given to middle school math teachers and students.
Why Participate?
- Free access to AI tutoring for your students.
- Help us evaluate the tool’s effectiveness through pre/post surveys.
- Support from the Hub and colleagues across the Mid- Valley participating in the pilot.
What is Khanmigo?
Khanmigo is an AI tutor that acts as a personal guide for students, asking leading questions to help them solve problems rather than simply providing answers. It integrates Khan Academy’s vast library of educational content, making it an excellent tool for personalized learning and supporting students who learn at different paces.
What’s the Impact?
Khanmigo aims to enhance academic achievement by offering a personal tutor for every student, allowing them to learn at their own pace. This tool is already being piloted to over 100,000 students, providing access to this innovative technology. Khanmigo also creates a safe learning environment, with features that allow teachers to monitor student interactions.
What’s Required?
- Participating districts must use Clever or Classlink for student rostering. (Many districts already have this. Clever is available for free via Khan Academy.)
- Teachers must agree to try the tool with their students and complete pre/post surveys to provide valuable feedback.
